For me, it's a crucial challenge of the game, and taking care of them is usually not that hard. Mostly because sleeping or fixing several needs queued one after the other gives me time to let the game go for a min without the sims burning down their house doing something stupid. So then I’d cheat it because wtf is that? Especially when sims get exhausted to the point of passing out on the sidewalk so easily. This doesn’t happen as much anymore but my sims used to sleep for 8 hours and like only gain 3/4 of their sleep bar. I also do it if I think things don’t make sense. Or once I had a toddler who was talking all day with his mom and his social need only dropped, literally went from yellow to red while they’d already been talking for a sim hour. Or a sim won’t just sleep even tho there’s no reason for them to keep waking up (no noises at all in the whole house, let alone their room). Like the sim just stopped moving altogether and they would’ve made it to the bathroom or bed if they hadn’t bugged out. I do it when the reason their needs dropped was the game was being buggy.
